Ellen Harmon

Ellen F Harmon, age 84, of Louisville, IL, passed away at 2:05 am, Thursday, November 15, 2012, at Effingham Health & Rehabilitation in Effingham, IL. Ellen was born July 19, 1928 in Clay County, Illinois, the daughter of Washington and Stella (Lewis) Lewis. She was united in marriage with Daniel M. Harmon on January 26, 1948 in Clay County, Illinois and to this union two sons were born. Ellen was a faithful longtime member of the Shouse Chapel United Methodist church and enjoyed her time as a loving wife, mother and homemaker. She is survived by her sons, Michael Harmon and wife Marcia, and Reggie Harmon both of Louisville; sister, Dorothy Hall of Louisville; grandchildren, Brandon Harmon, Jordan Harmon, Donna Bean, and Eric Harmon; and great grandchildren, Taylor Janae Harmon, Mekenzie Jo Harmon and Hayley Marie Anderson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Washington and Stella Lewis; husband, Daniel Harmon; half brothers, Harold Lewis and Melvin Lewis; brother, Aaron Lewis; granddaughters, Heather Harmon and Holly Harmon Anderson. Arrangements are being handled by J.W. Neal Funeral Home in Louisville, IL where the family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Saturday, November 17, 2012. Funeral service will be at J. W. Neal Funeral Home at 1:00 PM, Saturday, November 17, 2012, Van McQueen officiating. Interment will be at Shouse Chapel Cemetery, Bible Grove, IL Memorials may be made to the Donor's Choice and will be recieved at the funeral home.
