Elizabeth Venable

Elizabeth Ann Venable, 86 of Flora, IL, passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2015, at 11:55pm at Flora Rehab & Healthcare Center in Flora, IL. Elizabeth was born Monday, October 1, 1928 in Flora, IL, she was the daughter of the late Ora Guyott and the late Lela (Buzan) Guyott. On July 14, 1946 she married Nolan Venable and he currently resides in Flora. She was employed by Flora First National Bank and was a life long resident of Flora. She was also a member of the Flora First Christian Church. Elizabeth is survived by her husband; son, Charles Patrick Venable of Flora; daughter, Carol Lea (Bill)Venable Poehler of Columbus, OH; sister, Trudy (Alva) Guyott Guhl of Wooster, OH. Five grandchildren, Scott Allen (Kristy) Poehler, Eric Christopher (Veronica) Poehler, Jame Bruce Venable, Kali Dawn (Ryan) Venable Strong; and fifteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Curtis Michael Venable; sister Shirley Guyott Bushue; brother Edwin Guyott, and a great granddaughter Elizabeth Jean Poehler. Arrangements are being handled by J.W. Neal Funeral Home of Louisville. The family will hold a memorial service at 10am on Friday, October 2, 2015 at Heritage Woods in Flora.
