Douglas Williams

Douglas Keith Williams, 59, of Alma passed away at 9:04 am Monday, February 27, 2023 at the Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.

Doug was born on April 20, 1963 in Salem, Illinois the son of Henry E. and Donna Louise (Shreffler) Williams. He married Sophie Marke on October 30, 1988, and shared a few years of marriage and then later divorced. He worked as a truck driver for Tune Trucking based out of Patoka for many years. Doug loved to work on tractors and helped with auctions for the Bayles Auction Service. Doug loved to spend time with his grandchildren.

Doug is survived by his children: Bryce (Suzanne) Williams of Opdyke, Lindsay (Patrick) Wombles of Salem; 3 grandchildren: Adalynn Williams, Ryker Wombles, and Leland Wombles; significant other: Candy Stephens.

Doug was preceded in death by his parents; brother that died in infancy: Kenneth R. Williams.

A visitation will be held on Monday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the McGriff Funeral Home in Kinmundy, and following the visitation cremation rites will be accorded.
