Donald Wayne O'Dell, age 79, of Louisville, IL, passed away at 2:25 pm, Friday, February 27, 2015, at Clay County Hospital in Flora, IL. Donald was born Monday, April 1, 1935 in Clay County, IL, the son of the late Leland O'Dell and the late Bessie (Abel) O'Dell. He married Mary Lewis on August 4, 1962 in Clay County, IL. He was employed by Best Homes in Effingham as a carpenter. Donald is survived by wife, Mary H. O'Dell of Louisville; son, Randy Wayne O'Dell of Hillsboro, IL; daughter, Sheila Waller (Tracy Hostettler) of Clay City, IL; brothers, Jimmie (Jean) O'Dell of Louisville, IL, Harry O'Dell of Louisville, IL, Larry (Mary) O'Dell of Flora, IL and Tom (Kathy) O'Dell of Florida; sisters, Betty Willis of Louisville, IL, Connie Jones of Louisville, IL and Nancy Palmer of Indiana; grand children, Allen (Charissa) Waller of California, Heather Morton of Mattoon, IL, Jamie (Brandon) Allison of Xenia, IL and 6 great grand children. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Bill O'Dell and sister Sue Hale. Arrrangements are being handled by J.W. Neal Funeral Home of Louisville.
