Donal "PJ" Peavler, age 77, of Louisville, IL, passed away at 1:35 am, Sunday, September 14, 2014, at Good Samaritan Regional Health Center in Mt. Vernon, IL. PJ was born Thursday, May 6, 1937, the son of the late Oren and late Neva (Blair) Peavler. He married Virginia (Bandy) Marsh who survives in Hurricane, Utah and to that union one daughter was born. Later, on October 21, 1966 he married Shirley (Slagley) Peavler, and to that union one son was born. She preceded him in death on October 27, 2001. In 2002 he married Joan McKnelly in Las Vegas Nevada, who survives in Louisville. He was employed by Ray Summers Appliance as appliance repairman and also was employed as a janitor at Clay County State Bank for years. He was a member of Red Brush Christian Church, a member of the Clay County Regulators and a member of the North Clay Fire Protection District. Surviving are wife Joan Peavler of Louisville; son, Mike (Paula) Peavler of Olney, IL; daughter, Becky (Mitch) Bringhurst of Hurricane, UT; grandchildren, Ty (April) Bringhurst of Toquerville, UT, Kate (Ross) Beardall of Las Vegas, NV, Erica (Brian) Hawkins of Hurrican, UT, Scarlet (Tyler) Hirshfeld of Mountain Home Air Force Base, ID, Chase Bringhursrt of Hurricane, UT, Tia (Zack) McKee of Garden City, UT, Hope Bringhurst of Hurricane, UT, Maxwell Peavler of Olney, IL, Anna Peavler of Olney, IL and twelve great grand children. He was preceded in death by his parents, second wife Shirley Peavler and sister Lula Belle Greenwood. Arrangements are being handled by J.W. Neal Funeral Home, Louisville, IL where the family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Thursday, September 18, 2014. Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM on Friday, September 19, 2014 J. W. Neal Funeral Home. Interment will be in Orchard Hill Cemetery, Louisville, IL.
