Deborah Joyce Hampton, 73, of Louisville, Illinois passed away peacefully at 1:26 pm, Thursday, September 12, 2024, at the Flora Gardens Care Center in Flora, Illinois with her loving family by her side.

Deb was born on December 22, 1950, in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of Lloyd and Thelma (Johnson) Schrieber. Deborah was a devoted wife, marrying her beloved husband, Richard Hampton, on February 17th, 1968, in Louisville, Illinois. Together, they crafted a beautiful life, filled with love, respect, and mutual understanding. Deborah's role as a homemaker was not just a job, but a passion. She understood that the heart of a home was not just in its walls and rooms, but in the love shared, the laughter echoed, and the memories created. She had a zest for life that was contagious, her laughter a melody, and her love, an endless ocean. Deborah's hobbies were simple, she loved to shop, but more than anything, she loved her family. Her biggest joy came from taking care of her family. She was a woman of faith, attending the Bible Grove Christian Church whenever she was able.

She is survived by her loving husband, Richard Hampton of Louisville; son: Richard Hampton, Jr. of Louisville; daughter: Melissa Manley of Louisville; grandchildren: Dylan, Hannah, Zaden, Mattea, Tessa, Benny, Vayda, Laynee; 3 great grandchildren: Kyleigh, Adalynn, Leighton. She is also survived by her siblings: Rebecca Johnson of Waytte, Mississippi, Randall Reed of Missouri, Cindi Robertson of Searcy, Arkansas.

Deborah was preceded in death by her parents; brother: Lloyd Schrieber.

Her legacy lives on in the love and values she instilled in her family, and the countless moments of laughter and joy she shared with those around her.

It was Deborah's wishes for cremation and a celebration of her life will be held at 4:00 pm, Saturday September 21, 2024, at the Bible Grove Christian Church with Mike Elliott officiating. A visitation will be held at the church from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. A private family interment will take place at the Old Union Cemetery.

The McGriff Funeral Home in Louisville is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements. We invite everyone who knew and loved Deb to share their memories, stories, and pictures on her memorial page at www.mcgriffandtriplettfh.com.
