David Murphy

Dale Murphy, age 99, of Louisville, IL, passed away at 3:00 pm, Saturday, December 15, 2012, at his home in Louisville, IL. Dale was born October 8, 1913 in Clay County, Illinois, the son of Albert and Zella (Chandler) Murphy. He was united in marriage with Bernice Elizabeth Tolliver and with this union three children were born. He was a faithful member of the Hoosier Prairie Baptist Church and was self employed as a farmer. Dale is survived by his sons, Allan Murphy and wife Pat of Olney, and Larry Murphy and wife Jeanette of Louisville; daughter, Donna Jordan and husband Jim of Rinard; brothers, Wayne Murphy and wife Louise of Flora, and Kenneth Murphy and wife Wilma of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa; sister, Ruth Hall of Flora; eight grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Zella Murphy; wife, Bernice Murphy; and brother, Leland Murphy. Arrangements are being handled by J.W. Neal Funeral Home in Louisville, IL where the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, December 19, 2012. Funeral service will be at J. W. Neal Funeral Home at 11:00 AM, Thursday, December 20, 2012, Nate Harper officiating. Interment will be at Hoosier Prairie Cemetery, Louisville, IL. Memorials may be made to the Hoosier Prairie Baptist Church and will be received at the funeral home.
