Darrell Willison

Darrell Eugene "Gene" Willison, age 90 of Louisville, passed away March 31, 2017 at 5:27 pm, at Clay County Hospital in Flora, IL Gene was born June 1, 1926, in Clay County, IL, the son of the late Tennis Eugene Willison and the late Dorothy (Roberts) Willison. On March 24, 1946, he married Maysel "Pauline" Willison in Wayne County, at her parents' home. She preceded her in death on January 14, 2011. Gene was a longtime member and elder of Red Brush Christian Church and a long time member of the Bible Grove Beagle Club. He leaves to mourn his passing, sons Mike (Marcia) Willison of Louisville, Phillip (Linda) Willison of Carbondale; sisters Anna Mae Shuster of FL, Janice Embrey of Flora; 24 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. Gene is preceded in death by his parents, wife, son Justin "Gail" Willison, infant daughters Patricia Ann Willison and Brenda Paula Willison, brothers Vernon and Garland Willison, and sister Donna Courtright.. Arrangements are entrusted to Neal Funeral Home of Louisville. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Red Brush Christian Church. A celebration of life will be held Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at 11:00 am with a one hour visitation prior to the service beginning at 10:00 am. Intermet will be in Red Brush Cemetery.
