Darlene Mcnew

Darlene McNew,88, of Alma, passed away at 1:13 am on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at Doctor's Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Salem. Darlene was born on July 8, 1930 in Saint Louis, Missouri to the late Louis and Ethyl (Kassinger) Moses. She married Earl McNew and he passed away on June 5, 1997. She is survived by her stepchildren, Linda Bradley, Terry McNew and Nicky McNew, a sister, MaryLaDean Mulvany of Salem, a sister-in-law, Pat Moses of Xenia, a brother-in-law and special friend Junior Butts of Kinmundy, and by several grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Lindell Moses and by her two sisters, Arlene Butts and Iona Vernaci. Darlene enjoyed playing bingo and cards, fishing and crocheting. She will be remembered as a very kind and caring person, she never met a stranger and really enjoyed visiting with people. A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 am on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at Evergreen Cemetery with Pastor Ron Payne officiating.
