Dale Heiden, 84, of Flora and formerly of Hord, passed away at 7:29 pm on Wednesday, April 1, 2020 at his home in Flora. He was born on July 13, 1935 in Clay County, the son of the late Charles and Louise (Bergmann) Heiden. He married Eloise "Lou" Butler on July 26, 1958 and she preceded him in death on April 24, 2009. Mr. Heiden was a pipefitter for many years with Geneva Construction in Aurora. He proudly served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. Dale was a member of the American Legion Post#14 and VFW Post#3999 and also a member of the Loyal Order of Moose #1384 in Flora. Dale is survived by two sisters: Florence Griffy of Louisville and Dorothy Heiden of Hord, a step-son, Gene (Alice) Dungan of Arkansas, six grandhchildren, four great grandchildren and by several nieces, nephews and friends. Besides his parents and wife, Dale was preceded in death by three brothers; Donald Heiden, Norman Heiden and Howard Heiden and by two sisters; Mabel Traub and Bonnie McKinney. Private graveside services honoring the life of Dale will be accorded. Triplett & Neal Funeral Home in Louisville is in charge of the care and arrangements.
