Daisy Hanna

Mrs. Daisy Luella (Sproat) Hanna, age 88, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, September 10th, at a local hospital in Panama City Beach, FL. A service to celebrate Daisy's life was held on Sunday, September 13, 2015 at Gulf Beach Presbyterian Church with Rev. Bonnie J. Wilkins officiating. Daisy had been a resident of Panama City Beach for 31 years. Prior to moving to Florida, Daisy and Duane lived, worked and raised their family in Catlin, Illinois. Daisy first worked as a telephone operator, and retired after 20 years of employment with Material & Fuel Company of Danville, IL. She was Illinois Chapter President of Woman in Construction active in Catlin Church of Christ and Gulf Coast Presbyterian Church, and Eastern Star in both Florida and Illinois. Daisy loved being active by serving others with her gift of hospitality. She shared her passion of music through singing in the church choir. She is survived by her son Randall L. Hanna, her daughter Nancy Byker and her husband Scott, her brother Keith Sproat, three grandchildren Jeff and his wife Michele, Ted Hanna, and Cori Hanna, and six great granddaughters Alyssa, Brittany, Rachel, Kestrel, Daisy and Ellen. After 54 years of blissful marriage, she was preceded in death by her husband Duane, her parents, Harry and Lela Sproat; and a son, James Duane Hanna. Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home of Kinmundy, IL. A graveside service will be held October 10th at 10:30 AM at Evergreen Cemetery in Kinmundy, IL.
