Cindy Stanford

Cindy Lou Stanford, 71, of Flora, passed away at 7:30 a.m. Monday, March 14, 2022 at the Clay County Hospital in Flora.

Cindy was born on December 7, 1950, in Flora, to Leonard Dale and Elma Gale (Conard) Jones. She had worked various job over the years, some including having been a department supervisor at Walmart and worked for Servpro in Effingham. She loved to do crafts of any kind and doing crossword puzzles with her favorite being Sudoku. Cindy loved all her family dearly especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Cindy is survived by her 3 children; Kimberly Blair, of Edgewood, Tanya (Stacy Radcliff) Brune, of Flora, Joni (Todd) Picklesimer, of Wilsonville, Illinois, 7 grandchildren; Kelly (Amber) Blair, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Kyle (Kayla) Blair, of Edgewood, Cole Blair, of Bethsaida, Maryland, Levi (Kassie) Egbert, of Ramstein Air Base Germany, Lane Brune, Flora, Sophia (Trenton Jenkins) Brune, of Flora, Jordan Picklesimer, of Wilsonville, Illinois, 7 great grandchildren; Brayden Blair, Alexis Blair, Leslie Blair, Avisynn Jenkins, Nash Jenkins, Rylee Brune, Annaleigh Egbert. She is also survived by her siblings; Richard Kent Jones, of Louisville, David (Kathy) Jones, of Beecher City.

Cindy was preceded in death by her parents, brother; Larry William Jones, and Charles “Chuck” Jones, and sisters-in-law; Shelia Jones, and Debbie Jones.

Funeral services honoring the life of Cindy will be held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, March 20, 2022 at the McGriff & Triplett Funeral Home in Louisville with Joe Smith officiating. Following the service cremation rites will be accorded and burial will be held at a later date in the Red Brush Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday afternoon at the funeral home where friends may call from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Cindy’s memory to the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, and will be accepted through the funeral home.
