Cheryl Butts

EFFINGHAM - Cheryl Ann Butts, 55, of Effingham passed away at 4:25 AM, Friday, January 8, 2021 at the HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham. Cheryl was born on June 4, 1965, in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of Mitchell and Ruth Ann (Fender) Estep. She was a homemaker, and loved going to rummage sales. Cheryl loved to watch cooking shows, and the Golden Girls. Cheryl is survived by a special friend of many years; John Boswell, of Effingham, 3 children; Brittani Butts, of Kinmundy, Courtney Boswell, of Effingham, Tasha (Jake) Rhodes, of Charleston, 2 grandchildren; Greyson Butts, and Sawyer Evans, both of Kinmundy. She is also survived by her step father; Bill Olden, of Kinmundy, ½ brother; Shawn Olden, of Effingham. Cheryl was preceded in death by her mother, and 1 brother; Mitchell "Mike" William Estep. It was Cheryl's wishes for cremation, and a graveside service will be held at 12 PM,Saturday, January 16, 2021at the Evergreen Cemetery, Kinmundy with Todd Meyer officiating.In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to an education fund for Cheryl's grandchildren. The McGriff & Triplett Funeral Home in Kinmundy is entrusted with the care and arrangements.
