Charles Lee Giddings ll, age 59, passed away on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at his residence in Clay City.

Charlie (Chuck) was born on December 6, 1965 in Akron Ohio. The son of Charles Giddings and Gladys Roades. Charlie shared his life with his significant other, Tammy Whitely (25 years).

Surviving is his partner; Tammy Whitely of Louisville IL, his children; Andru Giddings of South Amboy NJ, Megan Bernardo(Jongie) of Oak grove KY, Kristen Giddings of Savannah GA, Kaylee Giddings and Brittney Giddings of Louisville IL. 4 Grandchildren; Xavier(6) Callie(4), Alyson(4), Jayce(3). His siblings; Tosha Giddings Kopp(Kevin) of Monticello IL, Gary Giddings(Lydia) of Killeen TX, Sherry Jones of Parkersburg WV and Brenda Giddings of Parkersburg WV. Along with a handful of nieces and nephews.

Charlie was preceded in death by his parents; Charles and Judy Giddings along with his mother; Gladys Roades and sister Becky Atkinson. He's also meeting his unborn daughter Miranda Giddings for the first time in heaven. She would be 25. And his Unborn grandchild.

Charlie was a devoted father and fiercely proud of his children and especially his grandchildren. He was an amazing Papa to 4 grandkids who thought the world of him. Charlie was always ready to lend a hand, be a listening ear, crack a joke to lighten the mood, or even just to give advice and words of encouragement when needed. Though the particulars of his life's journey are many, the things that defined him was he had the ability to make the best out of every situation. He has touched so many lives with his generous spirit, warmth, and humor. He made anyone and everyone his friends. Charlie was a simple man. Family and friends and being outdoors was all he needed. The memories gathered around camp fires on our camping trips, grilling out, fishing and just being a family is what we will always remember and hold dear to our hearts. Charlie will forever be remembered for the love he gave, the laughs he shared, and the memories that will never fade.

Celebration of life will be held at a later date. The McGriff Funeral Home in Louisville is honored to be assisting the family with the arrangements. To sign the guestbook online or to share a memory or story of Charles, please visit www.mcgriffandtriplettfh.com.
