Carole Shore

Carole Sue Shore, age 82, of Sailor Springs, passed away at 7:20 pm on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at Flora Rehab and Healthcare Center of Flora, IL. She was born June 24, 1934 in Clay County, IL. She is survived by sister, Carmen Shore Radke, of Seattle. Pre deceased by father Dr. John P. Shore, mother Pauline (Evans) Shore, and brother John David "JD" Shore. Carole was a native of Sailor Springs, born and raised. Both her parents' families have had roots in Clay County since the 1800s, and Carole's father (and his father before him) established his medical practice in Sailor Springs. What changes this doctor's daughter has seen in her home town! Carole attended teacher's college and taught for a period at Clay City High School. She cared for her mother at her end of life and developed a bond that was precious to them both. Her family and friends are comforted that they are together again. Her quick wit and ready laugh will be missed. Arrangements will be handled by J.W. Neal Funeral Home of Louisville.
