Carman Lee Burr, age 39, of Salem, IL, passed away at 9:18 am, Wednesday, October 15, 2014, at her home in Salem, IL. Carmen was born Monday, July 28, 1975 in Centerville, IL, the daughter of Roy E. Wren and the late Victoria Whelchel. She married Bobby Burr on July 30, 2002 in Salem, IL. She enjoyed her time as a wife, mother and homemaker. Carman is survived by her father, Roy Wren of Kansas City, KS; step-father, Emmanuel Lee Whelchel of Kinmundy; son, Christian Martin of Salem, IL; daughter, Kitty Weems of Kell, IL; brothers, Roy (Kristina) Wren of Kinmundy, IL and Kevin James Whelchel of Kinmundy, IL; sister, Tara (Daniel) Donoho of Salem, IL; grandparents, Boyd and Bonnie McGathey of Granite City, IL; and grandmother, Ruth Wren of Florida. She was preceded in death by her mother. Arrangements are being handled by J.W. Neal Funeral Home, Kinmundy, IL where the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Saturday, October 18, 2014. Funeral service will be held at J.W. Neal Funeral Home at 2:00 PM, Sunday, October 19, 2014. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery, Kinmundy, IL.
