Carl Cassidy

Carl Dean Cassidy, age 76, of Salem, IL, passed away on Sunday, January 4, 2015, at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, MO. Carl was born Monday, November 28, 1938 in Keavy, KY, the son of the late John Cassidy and the late Flora (Karr) Cassidy. On December 17, 1994 in Salem, IL he married Sarah Thompson who survives in Salem. He was employed by World Color Press as an operator and book-binder. Carl is survived by sons, Terry Cassidy and wife Jane of Winter Haven, FL, Troy Cassidy and wife Erica of Florida, Rodney Cassidy of Salem, IL and Dustin Cassidy of Carlyle, IL; step-sons, Charles Crain and wife Kayla of Salem, Scott Crain and wife Lacie of Salem, Daniel Crain and wife Kadrea of Kell, IL, Jonathan Crain of Centralia; daughters, Teresa Lerch and husband Jeff of Fort Wayne, IN, Tracy Cassidy of Kokomo, IN and Carla Shivel of Kentucky; brothers, Foyster Cassidy and wife Vida of Kentucky, Rondal Cassidy and wife Margaret of Kentucky; sisters, Pauline Black of Kentucky and Pat Cox of Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Tammy Cassidy; brothers, Howard and Raliegh Cassidy; sister, Norma Aileen Irvin; brother-in-laws, Lyde Ted Irvin, Morris Black and Hurbert Cox; and step-granddaughter, Braxton Crain. Arrangements are being handled by J.W. Neal Funeral Home, Kinmundy, IL where the family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM on Sunday, January 11, 2015, at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at Neal Funeral Home at 2:30 PM on Sunday, January 11, 2015. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery, Kinmundy, IL. Memorial contributions may be made to J.W.
