Beverly Spitler

Beverly Louise Spitler, age 82, of Champaign, IL, passed away at 5:55 pm, Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at Presence Covenant Medical Center in Urbana, IL. Beverly was born July 27, 1933 in Louisville, the daughter of the late Marvin Johnson and the late Mary (Tolliver) Johnson Zanders. She was employed as an accounting clerk at the University of Illinois. Beverly is survived by son Mike O'Dell of Champaign; sister-in-law Jannine Johnson of Effingham; half sister Irma McConnell of Effingham; grandchildren Debra (Kevin) Schoening and David (Martha) O'Dell both of Champaign; great grandchildren Kevin Michael Schoening and Ashleigh O'Dell; step great grandchildren Aaron, Eric and Elana Von Qualen. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Gerald "Doc" Johnson and sister Barbara Maschger. Arrangements are being handled by J.W. Neal Funeral Home of Louisville. A graveside service will be held at Orchard Hill Cemetery, at 11:00 am on Friday, June 24, 2016. Interment will follow.
