Betty J Jenkins, age 83, of Kinmundy, IL, passed away at 12:00pm, Tuesday, May 28, 2013, at the Doctors Health And Rehab Center in Salem, IL. Betty was born October 4, 1929 in Marion County, Illinois, the daughter of Harry and Dollie (Butts) Geiler. She married James Ershal Jenkins on October 3, 1947 in Kentucky. She was employed by the Browns Produce in Farina; Salem Shoe Factory in Salem; and Bettendorfs also in Salem. She was a member of Kinmundy Christian Church. She is survived by her sons, Terry Jenkins and wife Dorothy of Kinmundy and Gary Jenkins and wife Judy of Salem; brother, Bryce Geiler and wife Shirley of Kinmundy; sister, Gay C. Quandt and husband Philip of Centralia; sister-in-law, Dorothy Geiler of Kinmundy; grandchildren, Chandra Markley and husband Jason of Farina, Amanda Kelley and husband Kyle of Salem, Bryce Jenkins and wife Nicole of Salem, and Clint Jenkins of Kinmundy; great grandchildren, Trevor, Rylee and Brody Markley, Isaac & Oliver Kelly, and Madison Jenkins. Preceding her in death were her parents, Harry and Dollie Geiler; husband, James Jenkins; infant brother, Bruce Geiler; brother, Robert Geiler; and sister, Joyce Potter. Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home in Kinmundy, IL. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Friday, May 31, 2013. and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, May 30, 2013 at the Kinmundy Christian Church in Kinmundy. Funeral service will be at Kinmundy Christian Church at 2:00 PM, Friday, May 31, 2013, Josh Conley officiating. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery, Kinmundy, IL Memorial donations may be made to the Kinmundy Christian Church Building fund.
