Betty Griffy

Betty Louise (Allen) Griffy, 86, of Flora, formerly of Louisville, passed away on Monday, April 9, 2018 at Flora Gardens Care Center. She was born February 18, 1932, in Louisville, to Oren G. and Frances H. Allen. She married Harold Lloyd Griffy on November 11, 1951. He preceded her in death on November 16, 1995. She was also preceded in death by a son, Archie Griffy. Betty is survived by two sons, Kenny Griffy of Key West, FL and K. Allen Griffy of Springfield, IL; a granddaughter, Natalie (Kyle) Snyders of Oakwood, IL; a sister, Martha Blair of Flora; and a brother, Ron (Sue) Tolliver of Flora. Betty worked with her husband in the grocery store they owned and later, in his insurnace agency. She was a long-time member of First Baptist Church of Louisville, where she served faithfully in many volunteer roles over the years. At Betty's request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. There will be only a private intermet of cremains. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Louisville. Order Flowers
