Betty Frye

Betty Frye, age 85, of Lady Lake, FL, passed away Thursday, May 8, 2014, at The Village Hospital in The Villages, FL. Betty was born February 25, 1929 in Louisville, IL, the daughter of the late Ray Dawkins and the late Lillie (Daugherty) Dawkins. She married Gerald Frye on July 3, 1948 in Louisville, IL and to this union two sons and three daughters were born. She was employed by Clay County State Bank as a bank teller and was a member of Red Brush Christian Church. Betty is survived by her husband Gerald of Lady Lake, FL; two sons, Scott (Kimberly) Frye of Ocala, FL, Jim (Joyce) Frye of Apopka, FL; three daughters, Cathy (Bud) Clark of Aurora, CO, Nancy (Alan) Kessler of Goreville, IL, Sue (Don) Dean of Concordia, KS; 12 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, one sister and one grandchild Travis Dean. Arrangements are being handled by J.W. Neal Funeral Home, Louisville, IL where the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Friday, May 16, 2014. A second visitation will be held at Red Brush Christian Church at 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, May 17, 2014. Funeral service will be at Red Brush Christian Church at 10:00 AM, Saturday, May 17, 2014. Interment will be at Red Brush Cemetery, Louisville, IL Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association and will be received at the funeral home.
