Arlene Roberts, age 83, of Kinmundy, IL, passed away at 6:55 AM, Friday, August 10, 2012, at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, IL. Arlene was born March 30, 1929, in Kinmundy, Illinois, the daughter of Ener Otis and Hattie Margaret (French) Zimmer. She was employed as an LPN by the Cherry Wood Nursing Home in Centralia. She was a faithful member of the Farina Methodist Church and also a member of the Eastern Star in Farina and Salem and member of the Kinmundy American Legion Auxillary # 518. She was a past member of the Farina Rebekahs Lodge #318. Arlene is survived by her sons, Larry Stephen Roberts and wife Connie, and John Stanton Roberts and wife Susan both of Farina; sister, Alice Marie Sigrist and husband Leon of Mt. Vernon; grandchildren, Shelley Stuckemeyer of Altamont, Nicole Roberts of Rochester, MN, Kelly Roberts of Farina, Kyle Roberts of Farina, Kevin Roberts and wife Julie Lynette of Farina, and Julie Diane Farthing and husband Tony of Salem; great grandchildren, Katey Stuckemeyer of Altamont, Drew Roberts and Lacey Roberts both of Rochester, MN, Olivia Loren Newbloom and Grace Kathryn Newbloom both of Rochester, MN, Reagan Sue Roberts, Alexis Roberts and Rubin John Roberts all of Farina. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ener and Hattie Zimmer. Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home in Kinmundy, IL where the family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Monday, August 13, 2012. Funeral service will be at Neal Funeral Home at 12:00 PM, Monday, August 13, 2012, Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery, Kinmundy, IL Memorials may be made to the Evergreen Cemetery Association.
