Alice Traub

Alice Carol Traub, 78 of Effingham, IL, passed away at 5:21 am, Tuesday, May 19, 2015, at St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham, IL. Alice Carol was born Wednesday, November 4, 1936 in Effingham, IL, the daughter of the late John Traub and the late Helen (Adams) Traub. She was self employed as a homemaker and a childcare provider. She was also baptized and confirmed in the Christian faith and was a life long member of St. John's Lutheran Church and of the Ladies Aid. Carol loved children and after graduation from high school, she cared for children until her retirement. Alice Carol is survived by her sister, Florence (Victor) Czerwonka of Sigel, IL; niece Cheryl Eastin of Neoga; nephews Douglas (Deborah) Czerwonka of Fenton, MO, Greg (Barb) Czerwonka of Marietta, GA and Randall Czerwonka of Effingham as well as great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Arrangments are being handled by J.W. Neal Funeral Home in Lousiville, IL. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 21, 2015, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Louisville. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday at St. John's Lutheran Church. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery, Louisville, IL.
