William Bartels

William Howard Bartels, age 88, of Louisville, passed away at 9:00 am, Monday, July 3, 2017, at Carlyle Healthcare Center in Carlyle, IL. William was born Tuesday, December 18, 1928 in Iola, the son of the late Theodore Bartels and the late Dorothy (Mascger) Bartels. He was employed by the US government as a systems analyst army finance and served in the US Army. He was a veteran of the Korean conflict. He was also a member of Calvary Baptist Church. WIlliam is survived by sons, Weston (Dorothy) Bartels of La Porte, IN and Wayne Bartels of Indianapolis, IN; ex-wife, Marylin Bartels of La Porte, IN; grandchildren, Matthew (Heather) Bartels of Kouts, IN, Ryan (Christine) Bartels of La Porte, IN; 8 great grand children and another one on the way very soon. He is preceded in death by his parents, young daughter Christine Bartels and sisters Vaunita Evans and Ruby Moori. Arrangements are entrusted to J.W. Neal Funeral Home of Louisville. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, July 7, 2017 at Orchard Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's choice.
