Juanita Prather

Juanita Prather, age 89, of Flora, IL, passed away at 10:10 pm, Wednesday, April 4, 2012, at Flora Gardens Care Center in Flora, IL. Juanita was born in Edgewood, Illinois on March 18, 1923, the daughter of Edgar and Ella (Greer) Hites. She was married to Otis H. Prather on March 18, 1939 in Louisville, Illinois. He preceded her in death on June 24, 1994. Juanita was employed by Prather Auto Sales as a secretary and was a member of Louisville Christian Church. She was also a past member of the Rebecca's. She is survived by grandchildren, Paula Kay Hargis and husband Robert of Tennessee, Megan Ann Prather and Paul E. Prather both of Wisconsin; great grandchildren, Bryant Smith of Louisville, Carissa Hargis and Ryan Hargis both of Tennessee; niece, Betty Russell and husband Jerry of Arizona; special friends, Jerry and Billye Young; and friends at Flora Gardens Healthcare. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Ella Hites; husband, Otis Prather; sons, Paul L. Prather and Mark Prather; five brothers and four sisters. Arrangements are being handled by J.W. Neal Funeral Home, Louisville, IL where the family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 7, 2012. Funeral service will be at J. W. Neal Funeral Home at 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 7, 2012, Bruce Horsley officiating. Interment will be at Edgewood Cemetery, Edgewood, IL Memorials may be made to the Clay County Hospice or Flora Gardens Activity Fund.
