Donnie Keen

Donnie G Keen, age 70, of Kinmundy, passed away at 8:17 pm, Tuesday, April 3, 2012, in Salem. Donnie was born February 9, 1942 in Kinmundy, the son of Eugene "George" W. and Iva Marie "Kate" (Mulvaney) Keen. He marrid Vervadene Slane on November 26, 1963 at the Kinmundy Christian Church. He was owner/operator of Keen's Backhoe Service and was a faithful member of the Kinmundy Christian Church. He was also a member of the International Operating Engineers Local #520. Donnie is survived by his wife, Vervadene Keen of Kinmundy; son, Alan Keen of Kinmundy; brother, Dennis Keen and wife Debbie of Kinmundy; step-sister, Connie Mulvaney and husband Chad of Kinmundy; grandsons, Trevor Alan Keen and Trenton Donnie Keen both of Kinmundy; sisters-in-law, Dorothy M. Keen and Judy Slane both of Kinmundy; brother-in-law, Rudy Slane of Kinmundy; special nieces and nephews, Susan and Airman 1st Class Shae Jamison, Clayton Keen, Misty Ford, michelle Moore, Taylor Keen, and Denise Slane. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Kate Keen; step-mother, Dorothy B. Keen; and brother, Beryl Clayton Keen. Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, Kinmundy, IL The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, April 5, 2012 at the Kinmundy Christian Church. Funeral service will be at Kinmundy Christian Church at 11:00 AM, Friday, April 6, 2012, Josh Conley officiating. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery, Kinmundy, IL Memorials may be made to the Kinmundy/Alma EMT's or Neighborhood Food Pantry of Kinmundy and will be recieved at the services.
